Monsignor Di Mauro, 56, leaves his position as the delegate of the ordinary section of the Administration of the Patrimony of the Holy See and will be ordained a bishop, the Vatican press office announced Monday.
He replaces Monsignor Franco Croci, who is retiring upon having reached the age limit. The president of the prefecture is Cardinal Sergio Sebastiani.
