Holy See to Mark European Heritage Days

VATICAN CITY, SEPT. 25, 2007 (Zenit.org).- The Holy See will take part in the European Heritage Days, promoted by the Council of Europe.

This year's celebration will be held Sunday, with the theme "Europe, a Shared Heritage: The Continent's Christian Roots."

To mark the celebrations, entrance to the Vatican Museums and to the catacombs in Rome will be free of charge that day.

Moreover, at the San Callisto Catacombs on the Via Appia Antica a photographic exhibition will be inaugurated titled "The Catacombs of Rome, a Privileged Destination for European Pilgrims."

The exhibition will remain open to the public until Oct. 30.
