Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, their sins have been forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they have been retained.” (John 20:21-23)

"Testament" of Patriarch Josef Slipyj Published

risu.org.ua - The “Testament” of Patriarch Josef Slipyj of UGCC written at the underground Church period has been published.

The book begins with the Introduction by a eparchial bishop, Pastoral Address of the Synod of Bishops on 120th anniversary of birth of Patriarch Josef, Resolution of the Supreme Council regarding the celebration of this anniversary at the state level and photos.

The text of the “Testament” was printed according to the original and contains a copy of the patriarch’s signature. In the end, the book includes a reportage about the celebration of the jubilee year of Patriarch Josef in Sokal0Zhovkva Eparchy and pilgrimages of children to the crypt of St. Yur’s Cathedral in Lviv, a place where Patriarch Josef was buried.
